Last Thursday evening I met up with a few people from work at “Bistro Byronz” in Mandeville. It’s the definition of a Louisiana Bistro – an unpretentious neighborhood restaurant where people gather day and night to relax, share conversation, and enjoy good food (American & French) at a reasonable price ($10-$15 per entrée).
The majority of the lunch menu is soups, salads, and sandwiches. The dinner menu is soups, salads, and entrées, including Salmon, Tuna, Pork Chops, Chicken, Steaks, and Pasta. There were many sides to choose from like creamed spinach, fries, vegetable medley, and Zydeco pasta.
Our group had: Chicken Salad, Pot Roast Creole, Sesame Seared Tuna, Creole Shrimp Pasta, and Trio Salad (Chicken Salad, Shrimp Remoulade, & Zydeco Pasta).
What made the evening so perfect?
Outdoor Dining: French doors, patios, covered verandas, and wrought iron railings created an old world charm!
Vodka Freeze Cocktails: Strawberry, Mango/Pineapple, Blackberry, or Raspberry!
And Awesome homemade chips! (Blue Cheese, Three Cheese, or Crawfish Creole!)
This lil’ restaurant has all the qualities I love: good tasting food, variety, great atmosphere, very clean, and friendly staff. I would definitely go again…and recommend as a place to take visiting friends and family!
