Daydream: Moomin House, Finland

The colors of the organish-red wildflowers vs. the blue house are so stunning that I can’t stop daydreaming about this lil’ gem…and the story behind it has me wishing I was 5 years old again, curled up on my mom’s lap with her reading this fantasy world to me!

Moomin Theme Park is based on the Moomin books by Tove Jansson.  The characters are a family of trolls, who are white and roundish, with large snouts, that make them resemble hippopotamuses.  The carefree and adventurous family live in their house in Moominvalley, in the forests of Finland.  Moomin World is on the island of Kailo, beside the old town of Naantali, near the city of Turku, Finland.  The blueberry-colored Moomin House is the main attraction.
