Daydream: Kawachi Fuji Gardens, Kitakyushu, Japan

via: Google Images

It’s a dreary, rainy day here in southern Lousiana…so I was perusing Pinterest for a colorful pick-me-up and came across this whimsical garden which is both breathtaking and inspiring!

The Wisteria Tunnel, located in the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan, is about a 4 hour drive from Tokyo.   The soft hanging blooms range in color from light pinks, purples, yellows, and reds.  How beautiful is the following description of the blooming of the Wisteria floribunda in Japanese: ‘Usubeni fuji’ (light pink), ‘Murasaki fuji’ (purple), ‘Naga fuji’ (long), ‘Yae kokuryu’ (double-petaled black dragon), and ‘Shiro fuji’ (white).”  Enjoy!
