Ahola, my friends! Today I’m daydreaming about this lil’ gem in Hawaii. Puu Mahana Beach, or Green Sand beach, on Hawaii’s Big Island is tinted green due to a large portion of polished olivine crystals, a byproduct of cooling lava, in the sand. This beach can be found while traveling on the Road to Hana (a popular Hawaiian drive) and then reached by a 1-hour hike. A definite “must-see” on my Hawaii wish list! (Source) Enjoy!
