…a Running Streak that is! April 1st was the first day…no joke! Crystal @ Running with Rhyno posted a challenge to a Canadian Runners Group she put together on Facebook: Would anyone join her for a running streak from April 1st to July 1st? The group was created to recognize and celebrate the distinctly Canadian running experiences: You run in -25C and call it “not so cold today”; You clock your distance in kilometres not miles; You run the four seasons and have a wardrobe to show for it. Yup, that’s the Canadian experience.
So what better way to show some love to Canada than commit to running (and for off days, walking) two kilometres a day until and on Canada Day (Canada’s Birthday!), which is Tuesday, July 1st. Yes friends, that’s 92 days of activity! For my US friends, 2km is 1.242 miles per day….doable, right?
So how did I kick it off? 2K on Day 1!
Have you ever participated in a running streak?
