Daydream: Hitachi Seaside Park { Japan }

Japan1

Hello friends!  Today I’m { daydreaming } about this flower paradise – Hitachi Seaside Park – located in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, Japan.  Less than two hours from Tokyo, the Hitachi Seaside Park is a palette of colors, changing from one season to another, making it an all-year-round paradise.  The park covers an area of 190 hectares and the flowers are amazing all year round – narcissus and tulip in spring, nemophila and rose in early summer, zinnia in summer and kochia and cosmos in autumn.  As if that description wasn’t enough…the park has become known for its baby blue-eyes flowers, with the blooming of 4.5 million of the translucent-petaled blue flowers in the spring.  In addition to the annual “Nemophila Harmony”, the park features a million daffodils and 170 varieties of tulips!   Green cotton-ball like shrubs also blanket the park, turning a beautiful dark crimson in the fall.  And don’t forget to let your thoughts wade in the “river of flowers!”  The park also includes cycling trails and a small amusement park with a Ferris wheel.  *SIGH*  Enjoy!  (Images credit HERE).
