Leave It All On The Road // 04.13.2015 // RnR Portland Half Training #7

Hello friends!  It’s time for my weekly fitness recap.   34 days (5 weeks!) until the Portland Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon!!!  This week was a bit different.  I was feeling slow and heavy and unmotivated for most of the runs…so I decided to just run slow.  And rather than let me call it quits on the long run this weekend, the hubby had the bright idea of still getting in the weekly mileage by breaking up the long run into two medium runs.  *Such a smartie!*  It actually worked – 5 miles on Saturday, followed by 6.5 miles on Sunday….both manageable for an unmotivated girl.

{ Fitness Link-Ups }

I’m linking up with Road Runner Girl for The Weekly Chase and with Jesica from rUnladylike for Week-in-Review, in the hopes that setting weekly goals will help keep me on track throughout the week!

What I’m most proud of:

THIS –>

Running

That’s right friends, I’m finally back on track with running consistently!  I hit 25% of my goal this weekend (and only 2 weeks behind the estimated March 31st schedule).

Where I struggled:

Every run.  As I mentioned above….I just felt tired and heavy and weak.  I didn’t sleep great on Monday or Tuesday, so I don’t know if that had a trickle effect.  I also didn’t get in my speed workout…so maybe that drained me a lil’ mentally as well.

Thought for the week ahead:

Last week’s goals:

Goal #1: Extra emphasis on nutrition this week. #SUCCESS!

This week’s goals:

Goal #1: Balance.  With the hubby out of town this week, I want to make sure I keep myself balanced between relaxing & reading, working out, and eating healthy!

How is YOUR fitness training going?
