Leave It All On The Road // 08.03.2015

Hello friends!  It’s time for my fitness recap for last week.  19 days until the Edmonton Half Marathon!  40 days until the Dinosaur Valley Half Marathon!  82 days until the Rock’n’Roll Vancouver Half Marathon!  That is 12 weeks, my friends, to get my body into personal best shape for Vancouver!!!

1 Strength Session
2 Cross-Train Activities

07.27 – Active Rest

  • Walk 3 miles

07.28 – Bike + Strength

  • Walk 3 miles
  • Stationary Bike (6.65 miles)
  • Strength: McMillan Runner’s Core Routine – Stage 1 Level 2

07.29 – Softball Game

  • Walk 2 miles
  • 1.5 hours Softball Game

07.30 – 4 Mile Outdoor Run

  • Walk 2 miles
  • Run 2.5 miles (9:05 pace)
  • Run 1.5 miles – Tried to stay in Green Heart Rate Zone (12:09 pace)

07.31 – Active Rest

  • 4.45 mile walk – Elbow River & Stanley Park Loop

08.01 – Hiking – Cascade Mountain!

  • 12.5 mile hike

08.02 – Active Rest

  • 3 mile walk

  1. Develop 12-week Vancouver Rock’n’Roll Schedule! – IN PROGRESS!

This week’s goals:

  1. Focus on nutrition.  With the hubby in Houston this week, it’s a good opportunity for me to cut back on my evening snacking (sugars and chips) and not worry about how grouchy/grumpy it makes me!!!  And I also want to focus on balanced meals that will get me through a full week of training – WEEK #1 Vancouver RnR!
